Save What's Left Overview
dotted line

This organization will give young people grades K – College and beyond, a chance to take advantage of the Governmental and Community service opportunities available to them.  The members of this group, through volunteering their time and efforts, will take an active part in safeguarding our environment through inter-school and community projects such as tree planting, beach, canal, lake or stream clean-ups, and preservation of the local environment.  By performing these and many other projects, the students will be gaining a respect for the environment, and will also be achieving support in the community.

No Save What's Left member, professional affiliate, or any member of the Save What's Left Board of Directors has ever received any form of financial compensation for their time or efforts. All activities are performed completely on a volunteer basis.

Remember, the basic premise of the organization is to educate the world about its environmental problems through community projects, letter writings, public speaking about problems in their community at local city commissions.  However, the coordinator exposes the members to a collection of local and world problems.  The students then decide which projects to pursue, and to what extent they want to direct their efforts.  Members will work harder on projects that they choose.

If people can learn how precious our environment is while they are young, they will grow into adults with an environmental point of view.  If these young people can understand the severity of the environmental problems we face today, they will be capable of taking action now and saving our planet for tomorrow.

Save What's Left is not here to take over your organization.  Rather, we wish to enhance your effectiveness in community projects.  The name, Save What's Left, does not isolate itself to one specific problem like "Preserving Mosquitoes" does.  That would not be a club people would be knocking down the door to join, because not everyone cares about that problem--therefore the club remains elite.  However, if you open up the club/organization to all areas with the name Save What's Left, and allow all young people to identify with your organization, it will be more functional, make more phone calls, and write more letters.  Okay! You get the point?  So think about joining us!  We truly believe that as this organization expands throughout the world it will universally unite the youth in a peaceful environmental effort.

Remember, this is not just a "kid thing".  It's everybody’s concern!
