Special Notes |
 |
This is the most
important by-law that we have: Each member will strive to serve
and document at least 30 hours of volunteer services in the
community. That is less than four hours a month. (Four hours
a month to save the world.) These volunteer services may be
accumulated over the entire year. Services should include,
but are not limited to: their environmental endeavors, projects,
letter writting, area clean up events, city and county meeting
attendance, and membership on evironmental committees. |
|
These services
could also include volunteering time at hospitals, nursing
homes, transporting the sick, etc. It is imperative that each
member strive to accomplish these hours. It is not difficult
to accumulate 30 hours in a year when you consider all the
time we normally volunteer which no one ever keeps track of.
Don't limit yourself to the that number either. That is simply
a initial goal to work for. Remember it's important to write
everything down. When a member reaches the 30 hours mark, it
is usually a good time for the leader of the members group
to provide some form a reward or recognition. A lifetime membership
certificate, for example. |

By the way |
 |
There are no membership
dues in the club. It is open to all who want to help. Clubs
can xcbe started just about anywhere... in a school, a church,
or anywhere you find people who care. You club doesn't have
to be made up of just members of your organization, but can
include your spouses, families, and friends.
Please remember that Save What's Left is meant to help everyone
and encourage all individuals, young and old, to pursue their
particular areas of interest.
Please do not chart any dues to members! If you need money
for your club, have a fund-raiser. To learn more about how
