* Broward County Florida dedicated the 68 Acres of land that we saved (Called Tall Cypress Natural Area) (02)

* Designed and built “CSHS” (Coral Springs High School) sign for stadium.

* Redesigned and landscaped the entrance to Coral Springs High School. Won a “Broward Beautiful award”

* Granted Trademark (97)

* Student attended rally in Washington D C. (97)

* Established an Internet World Wide Web site for all the World to hear about and get involved with SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! (96) www.savewhatsleft.org

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! information went out over “VOICE OF AMERICA” to six million listeners in Europe (95)

* Started the first Green Ribbon week for Earth Day, April 16-22. Goodyear blimp advertised this event (95)

* Attended the CITES conference (Conference on international trade of endangered species) (Nov 7-18-95) Marked the first time young people were allowed to attend.

* Established a student board of directors for SAVE WHAT'S LEFT!

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! along with the Seminole Indians and other groups, stopped Shell Oil from drilling oil in the Everglades (Aug 94)

* Fought for and won a 7.5 million dollar bond issue for endangered land areas within our city. (March 94)

* Started a corporate sponsored program called “Tree Re-Leaf” to re-plant trees in Miami and other areas of the country that have been or might be devastated by natural disasters .

* Filmed by CNBC for “Planet Kids”.

* Won the 1992 Governor's Environmental Educational Award presented by Governor Chiles in Tallahassee as the best in the state for public and private environmental education.

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! was featured on page 1 in Ralph Nader's new civic book illustrating our use of the Democratic process

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! was filmed for “Democratic Governments in the United States” by National Geographic to demonstrate ...how our group uses Democracy.

* Our actions in the Turtle Run subdivision led to public support for a $75 million bond issue to save 14 environmentally sensitive sites in Broward County. Thirteen other counties followed our lead and had bond issues in their county to save endangered areas.

* Because of our actions the School board approved SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! for ALL schools in Broward County.

* Created a SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! music video and won first place in Florida for Florida Association of Media in Education.

* Researched and taped twelve different environmental messages for the Real Talking Yellow Pages; this information tells people, how to save their planet.

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! members wrote a 26 page Earth Day supplement for Miami Herald. (91-92)

* Assisted the Miami Herald with their first Earth Day insert and ecological editorials. (90-91)

*The March issue of Connections magazine featuring our group, was distributed to 5,000 schools.

* Six SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! members appeared on a local environmental talk show to promote and raise public awareness about SAVE WHAT'S LEFT!

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! won the Target award and named as one of the top thirty environmental programs in the world.  Three students were flown with their teacher and the SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! founder to the June 5, 1991 United Nations in New York to receive the honors.

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! book was printed by Sun-Sentinel News and distributed to all chapters.

* Sent over 450 letters to the EPA and Army corps to strengthen wetland law.

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! was featured in the October 1991 issue of Seventeen magazine.

* Helped two shopping malls organize Earth Day festivities in their malls.

* Collected and recycled 25 tons of phone books.

* Placed environmental information on tray liners and distributed them free of charge to all restaurants in the Coral Square Mall, Coral Springs, FL.

* Created a book on how to start a SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! organization.

* On April 21,1990 we sponsored an Environmental Awareness Expo, which was held in the Coral Square Mall. (Other local malls did the same the following year)

* Through our efforts, the City of Coral Springs accepted our proposed Tree Law which requires developers to save at least 25% of all trees on a lot.

* SAVE WHAT'S LEFT! students featured in May (89) issue of Good Housekeeping magazine.
